Divine Sport Productions was created in 1989 by Tim Thelen to produce documentaries on the life and work of Avatar Meher Baba.

With an interest in documenting live performances, Tim graduated from UCLA in 1985 with a BA in Motion Picture/Television. He began work for Punch & Judy Films, directing and editing videos for artists including Jane's Addiction, Adrian Belew, and Concrete Blonde. More recently, Tim has worked with Amnesty International and Palm Pictures, and has directed concert clips for artists including Zero 7, Nortec Collective, Todd Rundgren, Beth Orton, and the Tom Tom Club.

His documentary work includes Meher Baba, The Awakener (1994) which has been distributed in the U.S. by Direct Cinema Ltd. and internationally by CS Associates. His new film is The Theme of Creation; An Exploration of Meher Baba's `God Speaks.' Based on the groundbreaking 1955 work (published by Dodd Mead and Co.) the documentary explores creation, evolution and the purpose of all life. Initial screenings of The Theme of Creation include an outdoor amphitheatre near Ahmednagar, India for an audience of over 1400. The film has also been in rotation on the recently-launched TowserTV at petetownshend.com and at MEFA - The Meher Baba Film Archive International.
